Aerial Silk (the dangly-fabrics one)
There’s nothing quite like that feeling of your first drop on aerial silk. You’ve built the strength to turn yourself upside down, you’ve learnt the skills to wrap the fabric around you so it’s set up just so, and now you’re building the courage to fall, swing and spiral through the air.
Aerial silk is all about learning to move your own bodyweight through the air – wrap, suspend, drop, dive, and manoeuvre your body in and out of various positions, flying, striking poses and creating breathtaking shapes.
Develop strength and flexibility while expressing your creativity and challenging yourself, no matter what your level of experience, or inexperience.
Lyra (the round-metal-hoopy one)
Remember that feeling as a kid? The one where you’d stick your arms out to the sides and spin and spin and spin until you toppled to the floor in a giggling heap?
Imagine doing that now, only you’re holding onto a circular metal hoop that’s suspended from above and you’re performing feats of strength and flexibility such as poses, drops and transitions whilst suspended in mid-air.* *Spinning 100% optional. We love it, but totally get that it’s some people’s idea of nauseous torture.
Static Trapeze (the monkey-bar-on-ropes one)
Whether you had to clamber up there with the help of your coach, or whether you entered with a graceful pull-over, sitting atop that bar and waving at your adoring fans (Hi, Mum!) feels pretty exhilarating. Static Trapeze is an aerial apparatus consisting of a bar hung from ropes. Unlike the flying trapeze, this one generally
stays in place.
Learn to use the bar and ropes to pose, invert, balance and drop into thrilling positions whilst moving with grace and developing a strong and agile body!
Strength & Mobility (the make-me-epically-strong-and-bendy one)
You’re smashing aerial goals all over the joint, but you’d love a straight-armed straddle, or to nail that pullover on the lyra or trapeze. Or maybe you’re keen for some feet-on-the-ground time, and want to stick that 30-second handstand.
Strength & Mobility should be your new best friend! Sometimes we like to call this our ‘aerial vegetables’; the stuff we don’t always want to do, but that makes us strong and healthy, so we can try epic new tricks. This class is well-paced for beginners through to advanced aerialists; believe us, you’ll be cursing our coaches
halfway through for being such hard-arses, then thanking them immediately after for that rush of endorphins and mighty fine summer body (all-year round, of course).
